I am so excited to announce that I will be running a new yoga workshop in East Dulwich this autumn for mums-to-be.

PUSH studios, 17-21 Blackwater Street, London. SE22 8SD (just off Lordship Lane)
A 2 hour workshop covering asana (yoga postures and gentle yoga flow sequences), breathing (essential techniques to use in early and second stage labour), relaxation and beautiful mantras. There will also be a chance to discuss specific issues and worries, not to mention tea, cake and plenty of sweet treats. You’ll take home a pack of useful and inspiring materials to help you to continue with breathing techniques and a pregnancy yoga practice at home.
WHY DO PREGNANCY YOGA?
Pre-natal yoga is empowering and enables women to feel prepared and confident about their pregnancy and labour. Practicing yoga in pregnancy can also keep you strong, calm and help you bond with your baby.
DO I NEED TO HAVE PRACTICED YOGA BEFORE?
Absolutely not. The workshop is open to all pregnant women whether you have practiced yoga before or not. There will be ways to modify poses for different stages of pregnancy as well as for any pregnancy-related issues such as PGP, lower back problems and morning sickness.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE WORKSHOP?
- Welcome and introductions
- A pregnancy yoga flow
- Breathing practices for different stages of labour as well breathing techniques to ease anxiety in pregnancy or during the postnatal period
- Deep relaxation
- Tea and cakes and further questions and discussion
