Pre-natal yoga is empowering and helps women to feel prepared and confident about their pregnancy and labour. Practicing yoga in pregnancy can keep you strong, calm and help you bond with your baby.
In this class, as well as going through yoga flow sequences, we practice breathing techniques to use in pregnancy, in labour and in the postnatal period. Each class ends with a lovely relaxation – a great way to go into the rest of your weekend. We all have tea together afterwards. It is a fabulous way to meet other pregnant women in the area and many firm friendships have been formed in this class.
The class is suitable for all pregnant women in their second and third trimesters. Classes in Shrewsbury run all throughout the year but are organised into 5 week blocks. Do contact me if you have any questions or would like to know more.

TAKE FIVE MAMA – POSTNATAL YOGA WORKSHOP
Would you like learn postnatal yoga practices that you’ll be able to do at home with your baby? Would you like to practice using simple breathing techniques to calm yourself and your baby down? Would you like to find ways to rest when resting seems impossible?
I’m teaching this workshop to nurture and revive new mums and to show you ways to incorporate a little yoga into your lives. This is a chance to do some movement and breathing and to take a moment to look after yourselves. It is also a chance for some of you to catch up with friends from pregnancy yoga classes.
It is suitable for anyone in the first 6 months (or slightly longer if your baby isn’t too mobile!) of the postnatal period as long as you have had your six week check. Please bring babies and a yoga mat.
There will be tea and cake.

I recently launched a new monthly Friday evening event at the Shrewsbury Buddhist Centre – Flow Club – an extended yoga-flow practice to an uplifting soundtrack followed by guided relaxation, snacks and warming chai tea.
